STRONG EARTHQUAKES ON THE TERRITORY OF AZERBAIJAN IN 2015

Abstract

The geodynamic condition of the Earth's crust in hypocenter zones of strong earthquakes (January, 26 in Shabran, June, 3 in Shamakhi and September, 4 on the border of Shaki – Oghuz regions) happened on the territory of Azerbaijan in 2015 was studied,
macroseismic survey of these earthquakes was conducted. It was determined based on the macroseismic survey results that the epicentral intensities of Shabran earthquake on January, 26 and Shamakhi earthquake on June, 3 were I0=5, the epicentral intensity of Shaki-Oghuz earthquake on September, 4 was I0=7 by MSK-64 scale.
